Use of the Site is subject to the following terms of use. PhilFirst may modify these terms and conditions at any time, and such modifications shall be effective immediately upon posting the modified terms and conditions on the PhilFirst Site.

You agree to review the agreement periodically to be aware of such modifications, and your accessing or using the service constitutes your acceptance of the agreement as it appears at the time of your access or use.

From time to time, PhilFirst may offer website visitors the opportunity to participate in additional features or services through the PhilFirst Site. You may be required to enter into additional agreements or authorizations before you can access such features or services.

Prohibited Activities

Prohibited activities include uploading or transmitting communications or content that may infringe or violate any rights of any party, using this website for any purpose in violation of local, national, or international laws, distributing advertising or unsolicited material, posting unlawful or harmful material, or attempting to disable, hack, or interfere with the proper functioning of this website.

Social Networking Media

Your use of social networking media, including but not limited to participation in or use of blogs, threaded discussions, message boards, and wikis (“Social Media”), gives PhilFirst the irrevocable right to reproduce, distribute, publish, display, edit, modify, create derivative works from, and otherwise use your submission for any purpose, in any form, and on any media.

PhilFirst reserves the right, but is not obligated, to remove communications that fail to conform with these terms of use, and to edit or delete any communications posted on comment sections, regardless of whether such communications violate these standards.

You also agree to indemnify and hold PhilFirst and our employees, officers, directors, and agents harmless from any claim or demand, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, made by a third party arising from any information or material you contribute to the Social Media you access via the Service.

PhilFirst has no obligation to monitor Social Media, but reserves the right to monitor any and all information transmitted or received through the Service. PhilFirst may examine, record, copy, and use any information on the Service in accordance with the PhilFirst Privacy Information.

When using the Site or Social Media, please be certain that anything you disclose does not compromise your personal safety. Do not provide your name, phone number, social security number, or any other personally identifying information to people you do not know. Do not continue any conversation online that makes you feel uncomfortable. Protect your safety and privacy.

Web-Enabled Mobile or Handheld Devices

Certain web and smartphone applications of the Site have been designed to run on a personal computer, standard laptop, or web-enabled mobile device. If you view or use the Site on a mobile or handheld device, you may experience some display and functionality limitations.

You may experience varying wireless network coverage and speed, depending on your geographic location and telecommunications provider. The Site should not be used while operating any motor vehicle, or in any other manner that might endanger yourself or others.

If your mobile device uses GPS technology, trackers, or other location tracking tools, your location information may be used for purposes of determining your location when using a function on the Service that uses such information.

While using the Site, if you allow your location information to be obtained, we will use this information solely to return your estimated location and to provide you with more personalized results and/or services. PhilFirst does not monitor your GPS tracking or location information, and does not save this information.

By using the Site, you expressly agree and acknowledge that PhilFirst shall not be responsible for performance limitations or failures connected with wireless or Wi-Fi service, data transmitted through wireless access that may be intercepted by unauthorized persons, or your failure to secure your devices and passwords.

While using any web-enabled mobile or handheld device to use the Site, standard mobile phone carrier and data usage charges will apply. You expressly agree and acknowledge that the use of any mobile or handheld device is at your sole risk and shall be in accordance with all applicable local and national laws.

Errors on the PhilFirst Site

Content, prices, and availability of products and services are subject to change without notice. Errors will be corrected where discovered, and PhilFirst reserves the right to revoke any stated offer and to correct any errors, inaccuracies, or omissions, including after an availment has been made and whether or not the availment has been confirmed and your payment received.

If your payment instrument has already been charged for the policy and your policy is cancelled, PhilFirst will issue a reimbursement in the amount of the charge. If you are not fully satisfied with your purchase, you may return it in accordance with the Site’s return policy.

Request for Return, Refund, or Cancellation

PhilFirst will waive any charges on the premium if the Assured or Intermediary returns the original policy to PhilFirst Insurance and requests cancellation within the month of policy issuance or effectivity date, whichever is later.

If the request and return of policy are made beyond the month, PhilFirst reserves the right to charge premium computed based on the Short Period Rate Scale indicated in the insurance policy.

Shipping

Upon issuance of the policy, the Assured will receive an advance soft copy of the policy. If the Assured has an Intermediary, the original copy of the policy will be delivered to the Assured through the Intermediary.

Otherwise, PhilFirst will mail the policy through its in-house messengers, courier, or other similar methods.

Links to Third Party Websites

The Site contains links to other sites operated by third parties, including but not limited to third party sites that may display the PhilFirst trademarks. These links are available for your convenience and are intended only to enable access to these Third Party Sites.

PhilFirst does not warrant or make any representation about the substance, quality, functionality, accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, or any other representation about any Third Party Site or its content.

A link to a Third Party Site on the PhilFirst Site does not constitute sponsorship, endorsement, approval, or responsibility for any Third Party Site. Please review the conditions of use and privacy policy for all Third Party Sites.

Submissions to the PhilFirst Site

If any user of the PhilFirst Site makes any submission, such as questions, comments, resumes, or suggestions, whether oral, written, or electronic, no confidential relationship shall be established between the user and PhilFirst.

The user’s submission and any information submitted with it shall be considered non-confidential and shall be considered the sole and exclusive property of PhilFirst.
